Alexander Waithe’s passion for architecture ignited at the age of 17 amid the vibrant buildings and structures of London’s iconic Oxford Street. Joining the renowned architectural firm, Woods Bagot, marked Alexander’s first foray into the world of professional architectural design services and propelled him into his career. Here, he was able to truly cultivate his craft, immerse himself in the intricacies of architectural design and lay the foundations for what would quickly become a lifelong dedication.

Alexander’s journey for architectural design excellence led him across continents, where he forged a meaningful relationship with his craft. From spending two years exploring the architectural tapestries that Thailand has to offer and discovering the vibrancy of Singapore to discovering the glamorous landscapes of LA Hollywood, Alexander’s global experiences have infused a multifaceted perspective that resonates in his work.

Once he returned to the UK, Alexander pursued his academic endeavours at the Leicester School of Architecture, De Montfort University. Over six years of intense study, he honed his skills, culminating in the attainment of a BA (Hons) Degree, further enriching his architectural portfolio.

Today, as the Design Director at MWAD, Alexander assumes his leadership role with unwavering commitment and vision. Alexander is passionate about steering the creative direction of the company and seamlessly merging innovation and digital prowess to deliver genuine architectural masterpieces. His mission is to guide the design team, but also ensure that every project undertaken culminates in architectural greatness that transcends the ordinary.

Roger R. Waithe brings over three decades of unmatched expertise in construction to his role as Technical Director at MWAD. With a distinguished career that spans a versatile combination of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, commercial ventures and high-end residential developments, Roger’s professional journey boasts a range of iconic projects that showcase his practical excellence.

During his esteemed career, Roger has left a lasting mark on landscapes and buildings and has contributed to iconic landscapes including AstraZeneca, MKC Midsummer Place, MK Xscape, Grosvenor House Hotel Park Lane, and 1 Hyde Park Knightsbridge. Now, at MWAD, Roger is ready to infuse his expert wisdom in every project and design endeavour he undertakes, channelling decades of expertise into creating architectural marvels that transcend expectations.

As MWAD’s Technical Director, Roger is an asset to every project, ensuring the seamless transition from project conceptualisation to construction. He holds a range of integral responsibilities, including the meticulous oversight and approval of design concepts necessary to craft each project to meet the highest standards of architectural integrity and regulatory compliance.

Roger’s wealth of expertise extends far beyond adherence to building regulations. He has a unique proficiency in mechanical, electrical and public health designs, which is instrumental in transforming our clients’ visions into tangible realities. Roger works collaboratively with third-party designers and engineers and is a beacon of knowledge when it comes to sharing best practices and techniques and offering invaluable insights to enhance project results and sustainability.
